SECTION I: Discord Server Policy

The Vortex Coalition Discord server is the main hub of the Vortex Network. This is where we communicate, plan, strategize, and of course, create dank memes. In VoCo, we use VoCoin™ to gauge activity in the group. When you do a job for VoCo, you get paid VoCoin™, which you can use to rank up or buy items. After about one week of activity, you should earn enough VoCoin™ to /buy to Member.1*

When you are accepted as an Initiate of the Vortex Coalition, you are expected to be an active part of the discussion on the Discord Server, and to abide by the server-wide rules at all times, which are as follows:

  • Zero Toxicity Policy - No harassment of people inside or outside of The Vortex Coalition. Do not be obscenely rude or provoke other users. No hate speech. The Vortex Coalition is a friendly community.
  • Don't share anyone's personal information without their knowledge and consent.
  • Obey Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • Keep spam (annoying messages/nsfw/etc) in the Random Channel.2*
  • Discord names must begin with alphanumeric characters, if your username does not, contact VoCo Management to receive a nickname. Members who change their Discord username are required to inform Vortex Coalition
  • Soliciting/Advertising is not welcome, except in cases related to VoCoin™ or in-game item trade. This includes soliciting to server members through DMs.
  • Do not create unofficial VoCo/SIG related Discords or splinter Discords without permission from y1t_arch.
  • Acting immature and/or juvenile will result in being removed from The Vortex Coalition, as outlined under Section V.
  • Feel free to debate, but executive decisions are ultimately final.

    1* To earn Member status within one week of being Initiated, you must be involved in group affairs and actively redeeming jobs for VoCoin™.

    2* Spam includes repetitive or annoying messages, such as echoing previous messages (aka “combos”), “blocked message” taunts, sending multiple images at once, large bodies of text, and/or sending pointless messages for the sole purpose of gaining XP. Conversation starters are okay, but obvious spam will be penalized, possibly resulting in your level being reset if spam continues.

    3* Discord members who repeatedly change their username, or have a username that breaks server rules, will be assigned a nickname which they cannot change.

    By participating in the Vortex Coalition voice and text chat channels (or any other VoCo Service) you are giving The Vortex Coalition, and its affiliates, explicit permission to use your voice, text, words, and/or statements in any way we please, including manipulation of such, misleading or otherwise.

    SECTION II: Information Disclosure Policy

    The Vortex Coalition is a compartmentalized group. The only member with full clearance is y1t_arch. Members are divided into groups that work on various projects separately, such as occupying and building different bases at different locations.

    VoCo shares information with its members very carefully, and there are strict rules that ensure minimal security breaches:

  • Do not share assigned coordinates or information with other members.
  • Do not post any information or comments regarding particular VoCo bases or projects (including base/project names), except for in their respective chat channels.
  • All members should be aware of what Discord channels they are in before posting information. Feel free to post sensitive info in trusted base/project chats.
  • Do not share any private Vortex Coalition information with non-VoCo Members.
  • Do not discuss coordinates to anything valuable in public chats.

    Members who fail to conceal information correctly won’t have access to future information.

    SECTION III: Minecraft Server Policy

    Vortex Coalition members who play on servers where VoCo is active are subject to our Minecraft Server Policy. This is a system designed to keep the Vortex Coalition secure, stable, and endlessly improving. These are the guidelines:

  • Do not deliberately attack a fellow Vortex Coalition Member, or their assets.
  • Do not instigate fights or attack players in-game unless you are attacked first, or unless they are a known and verified enemy of VoCo.1*
  • It is suggested that you do not attempt to fight at spawn unless you are experienced and better than average at PVP. The Vortex Coalition is not a PVP group.
  • Do not grief or destroy infrastructure, monuments, bases, or any other creations/builds in the name of VoCo. The Vortex Coalition does not endorse griefing without a justifiable reason.1*
  • Vortex Coalition members are encouraged to be active in the server chat, this helps spread knowledge of VoCo and expand our influence. Do not spam repetitive messages in chat, do not flood chat, this just makes VoCo look bad.
  • As a member of The Vortex Coalition you are welcome to either base by yourself, with other Vortex Coalition members, or with third-party players (if it is a non-VoCo base).2*
  • VoCo members who participate at VoCo Bases must abide by strict account security measures. Do not bring any unsecure accounts to VoCo bases, such as non-VoQueue proxy queue accounts, shared accounts, unmigrated accounts, non-full-access accounts, or accounts with unsecure passwords.
  • If you are interested in actively working for The Vortex Coalition, building at bases, and further strengthening the outward reach of the group, then you should view Jobs to evaluate which jobs may work best for you. If you wish to help VoCo in a way that is not listed on the Jobs page, contact a First Class™ or Executive member in the VoCo Discord Server.
  • All Vortex Coalition bases are documented (including coordinates) by Executive members, with the exception of private or non-VoCo bases.3*

    1* If The Vortex Coalition receives reports of a member griefing or attacking non-aggressive players, appropriate action will be taken in accordance with Section V & VIII. Members who continue to break guidelines will be removed from The Vortex Coalition to protect the brand image.

    SECTION IV: VoCoin™ Policy

    VoCoin™ is a streamlined currency solution used for secure trade, payment for jobs, and purchasing promotions within The Vortex Coalition Discord. The VoCo Trade Network uses VoCoin™ as a central currency for exchanges, purchases, and investments.

    For transparency, all VoCoin™ transactions are public record in the form of a blockchain in Discord. When registering a VoCoin™ account, and/or by using VoCoin™ services, you are automatically agreeing to the following rules and regulations:

  • No individual may possess more than one (1) VoCoin™ account.
  • Fraudulent transactions in any form are strictly prohibited.1*
  • It is required that all Initiate members link their VoCoin™ account to their Minecraft in-game name using the /balance command before ranking up.
  • The Vortex Coalition only moderates trades, exchanges, or transactions that use the VoCoin™ system.
  • The Vortex Coalition and its Executives reserve the right to refuse or reverse any transaction, blacklist anyone from the VoCoin™ system, and/or remove VoCoin™ from any account at any time.2*
  • Do not undermine official USD to VoCoin™ Sales, VoCo relies on these sales to keep the VoCoin™ service and VoCo website online. For instance, you are not allowed to sell VoCoin™ for USD or any other monetary value. You are not allowed to create artificial VoCoin™/USD exchange rates by listing VCN alongside USD (or any other monetary value) on item prices.
  • You are not allowed to engage in any activity that may destabilize the VoCoin™ economy, or cause massive changes to the VoCoin™ value of items or the currency itself; such as Predatory Pricing. For example, you are not allowed to participate in any "Race to the Bottom" pricing competitions with other vendors, or abuse supply and demand to affect item prices (e.g. flooding the market with cheap items to crash prices).3*
  • Vortex Coalition Management reserves the right to prevent anyone from selling items in VoCo if it is deemed harmful to the economy.
  • VoCoin™ purchases using our donation system, as well as rank purchases in our Discord server, are non-refundable.

    1* Fraudulent transactions may refer to: knowingly exploiting the system without reporting an issue; scamming other users; and/or any other misuse of VoCoin™ funds deemed Fraudulent by Executive members.

    2* VoCoin™ withdrawal may occur due to market corrections, policy violations, or misuse of the VoCoin™ system.

    3* If you are unsure about whether something may violate Rule 7, ask a member of the VoCo Management team.

    All VoCoin™ purchases are viewed as a way to quantify donations to The Vortex Coalition in order to pay for the VoCo website and the VoCoin™ server.

    SECTION V: Public Perception Policy

    Members of The Vortex Coalition are encouraged to be actively involved in the server community. However, as a VoCo Member you are required to always be aware of how you are representing the group in public.

    The following is an outline regarding how you should interact with the server community as a VoCo Member:

  • ALWAYS consider how your actions and attitude will affect VoCo and it’s reputation in the community. Juvenile actions will result in a ban.
  • You are encouraged to post VoCo related comments on YouTube videos (where applicable, do not spam).
  • You are encouraged to create and/or post VoCo related media, such as YouTube Videos to the #vocosocial_media Discord channel.1*
  • You are encouraged to stay up-to-date with current events in the server.
  • You do not have any authority to make decisions about which groups or players VoCo is for or against, and you DO NOT represent or speak on the behalf of our organization, or our leadership, in any way.
  • Vortex Coalition Management reserves the right to ban any member at any time for repeated or blatant toxicity, immaturity, or otherwise giving VoCo a bad reputation.2*

    1* The Vortex Coalition Public Perception Policy does not require or ask users to upvote/downvote posts; The Vortex Coalition does not vote together, it is the individual member’s choice and theirs alone.

    2* If VoCo Management decides that you are acting juvenile, you will be banned. This is not up for discussion, VoCo Management will not argue or debate with children regarding why they disagree that they are acting like children.

    If you do not agree to these terms, then do not join VoCo.

    SECTION VI: Non-Exclusivity Policy

    As a member of The Vortex Coalition, you are free to join and participate in other groups, with the condition that you follow these simple rules:

  • Inform VoCo Executives that you are a multi-group player.
  • Ensure that the group is in good standing with The Vortex Coalition.
  • Do not disrespect The Vortex Coalition in favor of another group.
  • Do not deliberately attack a fellow Vortex Coalition Member, or their assets.
  • Do not share any private Vortex Coalition information with non-VoCo Members.

    Failure to abide by Rules #4 and #5 can result in being removed from The Vortex Coalition, banned from the VoCo Discord Server, and/or all known assets belonging to the player being leaked or destroyed.

    SECTION VII: Anti-F.U.D. Policy

    As a member of The Vortex Coalition, you are allowed to openly voice your opinions and concerns regarding group matters. However, please be aware that doing so in a manner designed to portray VoCo in a negative light is not allowed.

    VoCo's Anti-Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (F.U.D.) Policy, ensures that pessimistic remarks, non-factual narratives, and disinformation campaigns aren't able to falsely and negatively depict VoCo or its actions (operations_1*) within our zone of control.

    What counts as F.U.D.?

    Fear, Uncertainty, and/or Doubt about VoCo or its operations, this may include:

  • Creating a negative impression of VoCo or its operations
  • Insinuating distrust in VoCo or its operations
  • Propagating insecurity regarding VoCo or its operations
  • Discouraging participation in VoCo or its operations
  • Being generally unsupportive of VoCo or its operations

    • F.U.D. will be removed whether it is subtle or explicit, and punished accordingly.

    Vortex Coalition Management ultimately reserve the right to decide if a particular message or person is in violation of the F.U.D. policy, and may take immediate corrective actions.

    1* "Operations" refers to any official Vortex Coalition sponsored project, including in-game activities, Discord activities, YouTube videos, the VoCoin™ system, any and all future group ventures, and the group itself.

    SECTION VIII: Policy Violation Policy

    If a Vortex Coalition member fails to follow these terms, rules, and guidelines, an infraction will be recorded. Each member is allotted three strikes:

  • Official warning issued, possible probation_1*
  • Rank demotion or server mute, definite probation
  • Ban from Discord server

    • If you believe you have been wrongfully banned, you can message an Executive member or higher on Discord, or file an appeal at https://thevortexcoalition.xyz/join.html

    Anyone found responsible for sabotaging or negatively affecting VoCo operations, alliances, or politics in any way will be banned and deemed an enemy of VoCo (EOV). No warning necessary.

    These terms and conditions are subject to change and may be updated for any reason at any time. Major changes will be in the Announcements Channel.

    These Terms & Conditions (also known as T&C, Terms of Service, TOS) also apply to any and all VoCo side-projects, sub-groups, and/or Discord servers.

    Any of the rules, regulations, and guidelines specified in the Terms & Conditions may be temporarily suspended by Vortex Coalition Executives at any time in the event of outstanding meme opportunities.

    These Terms and Conditions constitute a binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you," “member,” or “members”) and The Vortex Coalition ("VoCo," "we," "us" or "our"), concerning your access and use of VoCo-operated Discord servers, the https://thevortexcoalition.xyz website, VoCo-operated Minecraft servers, as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website, server, or application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, our "Services"). You agree that by accessing our Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions.

    While no user data is ever misused, it should be noted that connecting to some VoCo Services (such as our website, short-links, Minecraft servers, etc) does require our Services to see your IP address, as any website or Minecraft server does. If you wish to conceal your information completely, we suggest using a VPN. The Vortex Coalition is a voluntary group, some people may not want to connect to our Services, and that’s fine.

    When you upload, submit, store, send or receive content to or through our Services, you give The Vortex Coalition (and our affiliates) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from adaptations or other changes we make), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content. This license continues even if you stop using our Services.

    IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING ANY VORTEX COALITION SERVICES.
